Code is English, so we teach it in English — and a first go at English is nothing to worry about. There is a beginner course, so a child can start with none at all. They work on a tablet and the robot moves in front of them, so the word they used and the movement it caused link up: hearing and sight arrive together, which makes it clear, and makes it fun.

Families choose it whether or not their child is interested in coding and robots, because it is such an effective way to build thinking that comes at a problem from several angles. Through WonderCode a child grows the power to picture something and to draw the plan in their head — and that carries over into ordinary life as flexible thinking they can use anywhere.

- If you want a 4-year-old to enrol
- An interview is required. We make a whole-picture assessment of the child’s understanding of language and their communication, and decide whether they can keep up. Getting that wrong, or stretching a child too far, causes them stress — thank you for your understanding.
- Choosing a teacher
- You cannot request a particular teacher. All of our teachers are trained to teach the same content to the same standard.
