We do no special cramming for the test. Even so, some children answer every question correctly — that is how naturally an ear for English grows here, out of the ordinary business of the day.

Eiken Jr. is not marked pass or fail: the result comes back as a percentage answered correctly. Children can see for themselves how much they understood, and on a second sitting they feel the growth — “I did better than last time!” The fun of learning, the pleasure of understanding, and the interest in taking on something a little hard. Through Eiken Jr., children grow not only their English but a forward-leaning attitude to learning.

• 🌼 Eiken Jr. Bronze — two 5-year-olds, 100% and 86% correct. A child who started with no English at all scored 86% — remarkable growth!
• 🌼 Eiken Jr. Silver — one 5-year-old, 96% correct. Watching the steady daily effort was moving in itself — and then this result. We are genuinely proud.
