想い

Parents cannot learn or experience life on behalf of their children. What we can give them is an environment.

An environment as a gift「環境」というプレゼント

The RaJA Philosophy began with one mother’s wish.

Intelligence and strength of character are nurtured through our own experiences—through feeling, thinking, discovering, and trying for ourselves. Parents cannot learn or experience life on behalf of their children. What we can give them, however, is an environment in which they can discover and develop their own potential.

Throughout my life, I have repeatedly experienced what it feels like to be excluded and denied a place simply because I was different. That is why I believe that no one’s potential should ever be defined by what we see on the surface or by the circumstances in which they happen to find themselves.

No matter how thick the clouds may be, the sky above them is always clear. We must look beyond the surface and seek to understand each person as deeply as the sea. And like the sun, we must offer warmth and light equally to everyone, without choosing who deserves to receive them. “Wider than the sky, deeper than the sea, and warmer than the sun.” This is RaJA Philosophy—an outlook on life shaped by my own experiences.

When I became a mother, this Philosophy grew into a more tangible wish: “To create an environment I would wholeheartedly choose as a gift for my own children—and offer it to every child.” From that wish, RaJA’s early childhood education was born. Since our founding, one question has remained at the heart of every childcare and educational service we provide: “Is this truly an environment we would want to give to our own children?”

RaJA is rooted in study abroad and has built lasting relationships with educational institutions around the world. Guided by our commitment to never stop learning, we continue to visit educational settings across the globe, encountering diverse philosophies, methods, and ways in which children learn.

We do not simply copy what we discover. We carefully select what our children genuinely need, reshape it through RaJA’s own perspective, and bring it into their everyday experiences. As the world and our children continue to change, we continually reflect, refine, and evolve. In this way, RaJA Philosophy does not remain an ideal. We bring it to life as an environment that children can experience, feel, and learn from every day.

Through a learning journey that begins at age zero and leads into the wider world, we hope every child will discover their individuality, strengthen their potential, and grow into someone who can choose their own future. We would be honoured if you chose RaJA as the place where your child can build the foundations for the person they will become.

The preschool years are the key

RaJA Global Academy gives every child a great head start into an international life. Children are made of curiosity — they join in with their own education of their own accord. From long experience in international education, we believe these early years, when the urge to learn is already there, are the richest learning years of a whole life.

Lifelong learning

Our staff build the moments of real involvement that make great thinkers, day after day — a room that stirs curiosity and delight, and lays the foundation for learning for life. In a safe, steady environment we give children the security and the opportunity to meet a new version of themselves and to widen their own picture of the world.

Growing critical thinkers

Many preschools still drill a script for how a child should answer a question. That does not stimulate the brain; it makes linear thinkers. Instead of teaching the right answer, we guide children to look at what surrounds them, to ask about it with real interest, and to reach a conclusion themselves. It is one of the best ways to open a mind, to think outside the box, and to explore the world.

The other thing we emphasise is raising someone who thinks for themselves — a child who listens to other people, turns the question back on their own thinking, chews it over again, and makes a better judgement for it. Our teachers are there to help that critical thinking develop.

Today’s effort, tomorrow’s self

We use our own curriculum in the ordinary business of the day, asking open questions and encouraging children to try it themselves and solve the problem their own way. An early childhood with many kinds of learning experience shapes an entire life. The staff at RaJA Global Academy take that responsibility with pride and sincerity.
